Back on Track:)

Well, I am back on track to achieve my goal of being an Ordained Deacon. I have applied to Salisbury University to obtain my Bachelor degree. I am now on pain management for chronic pain so, if any of you out there pray please pray for me. I have to be able to have the means to get an MRI and surgery if needed, as I have no health insurance, so that I can continue on my journey that God has called me to do. I know that God won’t let me down, He never does, and that the funds will come. Anyway, I am back on track no matter how hard it may be for I am determined to not let the pain rule my life. My favorite scripture is, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. This scripture (and God’s grace) got me through obtaining the associates degree I now posess and it will get me through the next step as well.

Please wake up

I was reading Revelations in my Bible this morning and it really makes me think that we are truly living in the last days. This last section of the Bible is prophetic and tells us what is coming for those who are believers and for those who are nonbelievers in Jesus Christ. I am one of the fortunate ones who is a believer. For those who are not my heart breaks! It tells of the pestilence, plaques, famines, earthquakes and such that are going to happen before the end of time and there are so many happening right now that it makes me want to tell the world even more about Jesus and how everyone can be saved form this horrific scene at the end of the world. People have been duped into believing that Satan is not real. What a scam! The devil is alive and well and living on planet earth. Just look at how the world has become financially inept, the rampant immorality, the kidnapping of children and selling them into sex slavery (yes in this country), and the lack of compassion and empathy for the human race as a whole. I want to tell everyone Wake Up!! Read the Bible and ask someone who Jesus is (a pastor would be good). Find out about Jesus and let Him be the King of your heart before it is too late. Satan is but a fallen angel, but angels possess enough power to do a lot of damage! They are created beings to do God’s will, and by no means equal in power to God, yet Satan thinks he is. That is why he is here and not in Heaven. Please wake up and realize that there is too much evil in this world and turn to Jesus to be saved form it.

Raccoon’s antics

My raccoons have been up to no good, as usual! Last night they did their little dance and then proceeded to sneak up to the cat food bowl and devour everything in sight. There is one unusually large one. I cannot figure out if this raccoon is pregnant or just fat from eating all of the leftover cat food.Hmmm

My long journey to get my Associates degree is finally over. Now, on to the next one which will be a bachelors degree in Social Work…then off to 2 years in seminary. I think I may be close to retirement age by the time I get there, but when you work for God you are never retired:)
Prayer for the day:
O Lord, let faithfulness grow ever stronger in us each day that we are alive. We pray our faithfulness will strengthen not only us, but everyone we touch, and inspire others to greater faithfulness, too. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray this prayer. Amen

Almost there

Well, it has been a long road, but I graduate with my Associates degree in Human Services in a few days. I was called into the ministry in 2004 and have been attending college ever since; one degree down and two more to go.Boy! Learning algebra at 48 was quite a challenge:)
